Abstract
An account of the species of the family Calappidae reported from the Canary Islands is given. Calappa galloides is recorded for the first time from th e Canaries. Whenever available, data on distribution, habitat, biometry, le ngth/width and length/weight relationships, sex-ratio, breeding, and other bioecological information are presented.
