Abstract
NNC Ltd. is currently carrying out the detail design and manufacture of a f ull-scale prototype divertor baffle for EFDA. This work is part of the rese arch and development programme associated with the ITER project. The divert or baffle forms part of the plasma facing shield blanket within the vacuum vessel in ITER. The prototype consists of beryllium, dispersion strengthene d (DS) copper and stainless steel, jointed together using hot isostatic pro cessing. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
