Abstract
Neutronics and activation calculations have been performed for a Li2O parti culate blanket concept without structural first wall. The concept has the p otential for achieving tritium self-sufficiency with a lifetime structure a nd reweldable vacuum vessel. It has attractive safety features resulting fr om the significant reduction in radioactivity and decay heat generation in the structural material. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved .
