Abstract
Single crystals of LaMnO3, La1-xMnO3 (x=0, 0.04, 0.1) and LaMn1-xO3 (x=0.1) have been grown by the floating-zone melting technique. Electrical and mag netic properties of these crystals have been examined. Only La0.9MnO3 cryst als exhibit ferromagnetism, (T(c)similar to 250 K), an insulator-metal tran sition around 250 K and CMR (58% at T-c). (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. Al l rights reserved.
