Abstract
The paper suggests a new mechanism for the development of higher-order chao s in accordance with the concept of a chaotic hierarchy. A discrete-time mo del is proposed which demonstrates how the creation of coexisting chaotic a ttractors combined with boundary crises can produce a continued growth of t he Lyapunov dimension of the resulting chaotic behavior.
