Abstract
Magnetometric, X-ray and neutron diffraction measurements indicate tha t RGa1.7Ni0.3(R=Gd-Ho) and RGa1.5Cu0.5 (R=Gd, Tb) phases, all crystall izing in the hexagonal CaIn2-type structure, show spin glass behaviour at low temperatures. ErGa1.7Ni0.3 remains paramagnetic at 1.5 K. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
