B. Fugiel et al., The influence of a transverse electric field on the low-frequency dispersion in triglycine sulphate, J PHYS-COND, 12(48), 2000, pp. 9993-10002
The thermodynamic state of a triglycine sulphate (TGS) crystal, previously
exposed to an electric field E parallel to the c-axis, has been investigate
d. The temperature dependences of the real part of the electric permittivit
y and tan delta have been measured at various frequencies. It has become ap
parent that the domain wall oscillation contribution to the dispersion phen
omena is then almost completely negligible. Considerable suppression of the
dielectric dispersion has been found above 304 K. The possibility of the o
ccurrence of anti-parallel, frozen c-domains in TGS has been confirmed.
