Abstract
Fe-Mo-B alloys are prepared by electroless plating. It is found that w hen the boron content ranges from 10.1-30.0 at.%, the structure is amo rphous. A two-step process of crystallization is observed for the amor phous Fe63.4Mo13.3B23.3, Fe58.7Mo11.3B30.0, Fe73.6Mo16.3B101.1 and Fe7 4.7Mo18.9B6.4 alloys. The crystallization temperature ranges from 745 to 771 K for a B content ranging from 6.4-30.0 at.% of the amorphous s amples, which is higher than the range for the Fe-B amorphous films.
