Abstract
We consider the changing face of computing and the evolving interface of nu merical algorithms from subroutines to: spreadsheets, high-level scripting languages, visual programming, Web browsers. Through examples we consider the movement from the subroutine language inte rface to sophisticated computational environments and trace how NAG librari es and products have evolved along this path.
