R. Schmitz et al., Rozsos microcholecystectomie (RMC) in research - An alternative to Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) surgical technique versus technology, NEW ASPECTS OF HIGH TECHNOLOLGY IN MEDICINE, 2000, pp. 19-23
The Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) has widely gained acceptance as the m
ethod of choice removing the gallbladder because of being less painfull com
pared to the conventional open surgery procedure. Based on the results of R
ozsos who introduced the microcholecystectomy (RMC) in Hungary a pilot stud
y was conducted in Germany aiming at the endpoint of acute postoperative pa
in using pain sensation scales (PSS) for pain measurement. Decreasing pain
in affective and sensory experienced over three postoperative days proved t
hat the PSS is suitable for multidimensional pain studies and proved furthe
rmore the effectivity of the RMC as a low pain surgical technique for chole
cystectomy, The RMC achieves low pain levels for the patient avoiding sever
e complications intraoperatively, has low operating costs and excellent est
hetic results. A controlled prospective (bicenter) study of RMC versus LC t
o identify differences in postoperative pain perception, measured with the
help of the PSS is in progress.
