Abstract
Polarized Raman spectra of BCCD were studied in the broad spectral range 5- 3600 cm(-1) and in the wide temperature interval 12-292 K with the aim to o utline in detail the peculiar dynamics of the water molecules. The analysis of the experimental results revealed that the water molecules have to be c onsidered as active partners in the whole process that determines the wealt h of structural phase transitions in BCCD.
