Abstract
Pellucidin A, a novel dimeric ArC2 compound, together with dill-apiol have been isolated from the aerial parts of Peperomia pellucida. The structure o f pellucidin A was established by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy (H-1-H-1 COSY; H-1-C-13 COSY; DEFT; NOESY and double irradiation) and other spectroscopic techniques. The biogenesis of pellucidin A is also briefly discussed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
