T. Biron-shental et al., Undetected levels of unconjugated estriol in second-trimester triple test screening and otocephaly syndrome: a case report, PRENAT N M, 5(5), 2000, pp. 336-338
In this case report, we discuss a fetus at 18 weeks' gestation, in whom an
ultrasound scan showed low set ears and agnathia. The level of unconjugated
estriol in the maternal serum was undetectable. The pregnancy was terminat
ed and a postmortem showed that the fetus was suffering from otocephaly syn
drome.
