Abstract
The mass spectrometric characteristics of the pterocarpan skeleton have bee n studied with the aid of metastable decomposition (CAD-MIKES), high resolu tion mass measurements and specific deuterium labeling, New structural rota tions have been postulated for the [M - H](+) ions which can explain the fr agmentation routes for the pterocarpan skeleton.
