Abstract
Cross coupling of the bis(9-iodo-1,2-dicarbollyl)cobaltate anion with alkyl and aryl magnesium and zinc compounds, catalyzed by palladium complexes, i nvolves substitution of the iodine atom attached to the boron atom with the organic group and gives rise to bis[9-alkyl(aryl)-1,2-dicarbollyl]cobaltat e anions.
