Abstract
The present paper briefly reviews our researches on non-Faradaic electroche mical modification of catalytic activity (NEMCA effect) and discusses CO ox idation in a solid oxide electrolyte cell under the NEMCA conditions based on the chain reaction mechanism involving electrochemically generated oxyge n species.
