The soaking of ceramics in changes of water to remove soluble salts can be
a slow and laborious undertaking. A simple method is proposed to set up a w
ashing station that recycles the wash water by pumping it through a deioniz
ing column. The small water-circulating pump can be turned on or off as req
uired by the soaking procedure, and tanks of different sizes can be used to
accommodate large or small ceramics.
