Abstract
This letter describes a method for the synthesis of unsymmetrical phosphini c acids by the phosphinylation of a resin-bound aldehyde and subsequent 'P' alkylation. This synthetic transformation is very difficult to perform as selectively in solution and therefore further exemplifies the powerful natu re of solid phase organic chemistry (SPOC).
