Abstract
Mn(OAc)(3) has been successfully developed as a new oxidant for the regener ation of DDQ from HDDQ. This DDQ regeneration technique, making use of 3 eq uiv. of Mn(OAc)(3)-DDQ (10 mol%), was applied to the deprotection of p-meth oxy benzyl (PMB) ethers. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
