Abstract
Progress in the further introduction of TPE applications is essentiall y a question of economics. From the point of view of material properti es, elastomers are always superior when very low permanent deformation in extreme heat or cold is required. If TPEs want to compete with the classic elastomers, they must possess comparable heat and media resis tance, and comparable compression deformation behaviour.
