Abstract
A selected CCA timber treatment plant chemical sludge was analysed by a var iety of chemical methods including powder XRD, ICP-OES, XRF, TGA/ DTA, FTIR , and UVA. Solutions of the material were also reprecipitated by base addit ion with pH monitoring. A mechanism for sludging could be deduced from the combined results.
