Abstract
Thermal conductivity data for molten metals, published since the revie w of Touloukian at al. in 1970, are collated and evaluated. Where poss ible recommended values are given. Where availability of data permits, the Wiedemann-franz-lorenz equation relating electrical and thermal c onductivities has been assessed. It has been found to be valid for mos t pure metals at their melting point. (C) 1996 Crown copyright.
