Abstract
We report on a child with a metastasising medulloblastoma which was assesse d by MR diffusion imaging and H-1 MR spectroscopy (MRS). Reduced mean appar ent diffusion coefficients and a high amount of taurine could be demonstrat ed. This is the first reported case of high taurine in medulloblastoma in v ivo and confirms earlier in vivo findings. It is suggested that the changes on diffusion imaging, possibly reflecting the small-cell histology of the tumour and high taurine in MRS, are indicative of medulloblastoma.
