Abstract
Evidence relating peculiar contrast effects observed in 0002 dark fiel d diffraction contrast images of multishell carbon nanotubes, and the presence of singular interplanar spacings in the tubule wall is presen ted. The singular spacings are most probably due to the presence of sc rolls in the tube.
