Abstract
In this case report, a 70-year-old man is presented who had begun to suffer from ankylosing spondylitis when he was 12 years old and had been operated on be cause of bilateral hip ankylosis at the age of 21 years. The interes ting aspect of this case is that both hips were replaced with Judet type pr ostheses, which survived for 42 years.
