A new species of Rhynchospora section Tenues Kukenthal (Cyperaceae) from Puerto Rico

Brittonia 52: 241-245. 2000.-Rhy nchospora depressirostris M. Strong, an overlooked species of Rhynchospora sect. Tenues Kukenthal, previously treated in the literature as R. tenuis L ink, is described from Puerto Rico. An illustration and SEM images of the a chene (fruit) are provided, and its relationship to closely allied and morp hologically similar species is discussed.
