Abstract
A molecular imprinted surface was prepared by polymerizing the Langmuir fil m of a mixture of two polymerizable amphiphiles, one of which has a boronic acid stoup as a binding site for a template molecule, 4-nitrophenyl alpha -D-mannopyranoside (3), dissolved in the aqueous subphase. The imprinted su rface exhibited an improved affinity (35%) for the template molecule 3 in 2 -butanone compared with the non-imprinted surface.
