Abstract
The structures of four triterpene glycosides from leaves of Scheffleropsis angkae (Araliaceae) are established using chemical and NMR methods. The str uctures 3-O-beta -D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-O-alpha -L-arabinopyranosides of oleanic and ursolic acids and their 28-O-alpha -rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->4)-O- beta -gentiobiosyl ethers are proposed for L-E-1, L-E-2, L-K-1, and L-K-2, respectively. L-K-1 and L-K-2 are new triterpene glycosides.
