Abstract
It is known that the convergence rate of the LMS algorithm is slow, especia lly when the channel has severe spectral nulls. The convergence rate of RLS is fast, but the computational complexity is high. A hierarchical RLS algo rithm is proposed to reduce the computational complexity and increase the c onvergence rate of the RLS.
