Abstract
An exact solution to the problem of how past an impulsively started infinit e vertical plate in the presence of variable temperature and mass diffusion is considered, The dimensionless governing equations are solved using the Laplace-transform technique. The velocity, temperature and concentration pr ofiles are studied for different parameters like thermal Grashof number, Pr andtl number, Schmidt number and for multiple buoyancy effects aiding and o pposing. The values of the skin-friction are tabulated.
