Carbon-carbon composites reinforced with a plain-woven and satin-woven
fabrics (Torayca carbon fibre T 800) were prepared with thermosetting
resin UMAFORM LE. These composites were reimpregnated under different
conditions with UMAFORM LE after carbonization. The influences of imp
regnant density, pressure, and impregnation time on open porosity, app
arent density, flexural strength, and flexural modulus of composites w
ere tested and compared.
