Abstract
The structure of the copper bpy catalyst in atom transfer radical polymeriz ation was investigated in solutions of nonpolar solvents. It could be prove d that the expected tetrahedral CUT structure is the predominant structure in polymerization reactions. As counterions, different copper halides were detected.
