Two diruthenium(III) complexes with mixed anionic bridging ligands are synt
hesized and characterized as to their structural, electrochemical, and spec
troscopic properties. Both compounds undergo not only metal-centered but al
so ligand-centered electrode reactions and this is accounted for by their q
uinone-type structures.
