Abstract
The complexes [TpRe(bpy)(CI)]OTf and TpRe(bpy)-(eta (2)-cyclopentene) can b e prepared from TpRe(Cl-2)(O= PMe3). The stability of rhenium in both low a nd high oxidation states is attributed to the flexible electronic nature of the polypyridyl and pyrazolyl ligands.
