Abstract
Single diastereomers of tris(alpha -methylbenzyl)amine were efficiently syn thesised in either racemic [(+/-)-1] or optically pure (1) form starting fr om alpha -methylbenzylamine. The X-ray crystal structures reveal virtually flat nitrogen centres.
