Abstract
Anisotropic mesoporous glass of 30 nm pore diameter was prepared by stretch ing the softened borosilicate glass along the z-axis before phase separatio n (spinodal decomposition) took place. The anisotropy in diffusion was meas ured from the velocity of the traveling chemical waves of the Belousov-Zhab otinksy reaction that proceeded in the mesoporous glass.
