Abstract
Reviewed are the latest achievements in studying the information transfer m echanisms and the evolutionary significance of prebiotic RNA synthesis, the double helix structures most preferred in this respect, and the possible r easons for the prevalence of particular enantiomeric forms of nucleotides i n template-directed synthesis.
