Abstract
The goal of the Thuringian Patent Network is to increase patenting producti vity through the consistent realization of the following chain of services: Inform - Advise - Promote - Patent - Commercialize. In this process, infor mational services, especially internet services (patent databases and a ful l-text patent delivery service) are made available to institutes: of higher education and industry. About 1000 companies gain a competitive edge by us ing PATON (Patent Information Center and Online Services) at the TU Ilmenau , especially the internet services. The patent databases Global-Pat (worldw ide), PAE (Europe), DE-T2 (German translations of European patent specifica tions), PAU (USA), PAJ (Japan), and PAR (Russia) are available to the indus try. They are connected with the full-text patent delivery service PATONlin e.
