Abstract
An anisotropic near-wad (t(2)) over bar - epsilon (t) two-equation heat tra nsfer model is presented The turbulent heat flux is expressed in the form o f anisotropic eddy diffusivity representation, in which the temperature var iance (t(2)) over bar and its dissipation rare epsilon (t), together with k and epsilon, were used to model the isotropic and anisotropic eddy diffusi vity for Beat. The method to determine the mixing time scale characterizing turbulent heat transport in the anisotropic turbulent heat flux representa tion mid the requirement that it should meet nr e presented. The proposed m odel reproduces the correct wall-limiting Behavior of temperature under arb itrary wall thermal conditions and is applied to turbulent channel flow and heat transfer. Calculated results a, e compared with the direct numerical simulation (DNS) data. It is shown the present model works much better.
