Ai. Agatova et Kb. Kirpichev, Organic matter in the White Sea: Interannual variability of organic matterdistribution, OCEANOLOGY, 40(6), 2000, pp. 791-795
The data on the comparative analysis of the distribution of dissolved organ
ic matter (DOM) in the White Sea according to the results of the 1991 and 1
997 summer expeditions are presented. The principal distribution features,
caused by hydrological conditions in the White Sea bays and basin, art: sho
wn to be conserved. The interannual variability of the intensity of the pro
duction-destruction processes in the sea areas studied causes significant v
ariations of the DOM contents in the photic layers of both the bays and the
basin.
