Microstructure and magnetic properties of Fe89Zr7B4 nanocrystalline ma
terial have been studied in the temperature range 4.2-550 K. It has be
en shown that conventional magnetization measurements and Mossbauer sp
ectroscopy give consistent results on the volumetric fraction of the c
onstituent phases. In the Mossbauer spectra, besides of the contributi
ons from bcc-Fe crystalline phase and that of the residual amorphous m
atrix? an additional component was observed and attributed to the crys
talline grain-amorphous matrix interfaces. Magnetic behavior of the in
terfacial layer and its changes with temperature are also discussed. (
