Reactions occured three hours after inj ection and included head movements, convulsions and ataxia. Temporary blind ness of the right eye without visible ocular damage tested for four weeks a nd did not recover completely. Intracarotid artery medication causes cerebr ovascular endothelial injury :with edema and ischemic necrosis in the brain . Pathophysiological mechanisms leading to temporary unilateral blindness a re discussed.
