Abstract
Magnetomechanical properties of rapidly quenched materials are discuss ed. The magnetomechanical coupling and Delta E effect depend on magnet ostriction and anisotropy. A crystallization reduced the magnetostrict ion and the magnetomechanical coupling practically vanishes. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
