Abstract
The essential oil composition from Sideritis tragoriganum has been investig ated by capillary gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectromet ry. Among the 47 identified mono- and sesquiterpenes, alpha -bisabolol is t he most prominent component. Correlation analysis of essential oil componen ts from this population of S. tragoriganum with two other geographically di stinct populations revealed the existence of unrelated chemical types.
