Abstract
Diphenylbismuth arenesulfonates Ar2BiOSO2Ar' were prepared from triphenylbi smuth and arenesulfonic acids. The structure of diphenylbismuth 2,5-dimethy lbenzenesulfonate was studied by single crystal X-ray diffraction. It was f ound that its molecules in the crystal form the chain from the Ph2BiOSO2-2, 5-Me2C6H3 fragments linked by the oxygen atoms of the sulfo group of the ar enesulfonate bridging ligand.
