Abstract
Reaction of dichlorophosphines with glycidol yields 2-R-4-chloromethyl-1,3, 2-dioxaphospholanes as primary products, which under the reaction condition s or under the action of HCL surprisingly readily undergo redox transformat ions yielding 2-R-4-chloromethyl-1,3,2-dioxaphospholane 2-oxides, dichlorop ropyl R-phosphinates, bis(dichloropropyl) R-phosphonates, and phosphines RP H2.
