The kinetics of complexation of magnesium acetate with tetrachloro- and tet
rabromotetraazaporphine in the system dimethyl sulfoxide-chlorobenzene was
studied. Acid-base interactions play an important role in this reaction. Po
ssible mechanisms of formation of the metal complex were suggested.
