Abstract
Reactions of 2-amino-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4H-thiazolo[5,4-c]azepin-8-ones and 2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzothiazol-7-ones with butyl nitrite and coppe r(I) chloride yield 2-chloro derivatives which readily react with various a mines to form substitution products.
