Abstract
Tautomeric forms of 3-acetyl-4-hydroxycoumarin in the gas phase and in crys tal were studied by photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffaction, and quant um chemistry, It was shown that both in the gas and solid phases this compo und prefers the 3-acetyl-4-hydroxycoumarin tautomeric form.
