Abstract
A 56-year-old woman sustained a delayed median nerve division after a penet rating injury of the right wrist by a piece of wood had gone unnoticed. The re was no neurological damage at the time of the injury. The foreign body s pread the median nerve apart, which subsequently reduced the sensitivity in the index finger. Removal of the wood resulted in complete recovery.
